Cakewalk has released an official press release stating ASIO suport across the board in the upcoming Sonar 2.2 release on February 1st. Of course, they say that WDM is the widely accepted Windows standard, and they're only adding ASIO support for "a few hardware products that support only the older ASIO interface."

Anyway, it's in Cakewalk news section at: http://www.cakewalk.com/Press/default.asp

P.S. I don't believe this is an excuse for CreamWare to stop development on their WDM drivers.

The info I really want is whether it will allow audio in via asio . . . That's what I find the problem is with all the lower-priced apps: no easy way to "capture" Pulsar sounds into the environment. I'm hoping FL4 may do that - probably being released next month.

I wonder whether Cakewalk gave it the number 5 to be "one better" than FL Studio 4. I've been in meetings where such psychological factors are seriously debated  Otherwise what does the "5" mean ?
