hiya...i have just puchaced a pulsar II plus...arrives friday...nice to see a forum like this online..seems helpful enough =)

will read about what systems you have setup before putting together a new pc in the meantime i will be using the setup below...would appreciate knowing if any of my cards etc should be dumped before getting started with the pulsar..

Hi sire, welcome in the club :smile:

You might want to keep the PCI slots clear as much as possible, I dunno how much of you gear is using the PCI connection. You should be fine tho, as long as you can distribute the IRQ's so that the Pulsar can have it's own.

A VIA chipset with a SCSI card is the worst possible combination for a Pulsar card.

Sorry i don't think you'd be able to get it to run smooth with that combo.

Get the new computer as fast as possible.

It is'nt the Pulsar cards fault.It will run smooth with an Intel chipset.
The VIA PCI performance is just too bad and with a SCSI card as well..... No.
