hi!
i'm trying to follow spliffy's instruction to edit my bios parameters with WPCREDIT and WPCRSET. i have the PCR file for my mobo (or at least i hope it's right!)
i have a ASUS AV7 with VIA KT133 chipset.
i changed register 75 from A1 to 21 (arbitration mechanism set to PCI). i didn't notice lots of improvements.
then i tried to change "PCI master read caching" - register 70. as default it was set to D8, and i changed it to DC in order to enable the setting. the problem is that this change hangs my PC!
anyone can help me?

I think you have an old bios. the 1007 bios can be change, but older bios don't.

with the latest bios and the latest 4in1-drivers it should work - remember, via is very busy at the moment fixing their stuff... so try again...
