Algorhythm created some time ago the song Immanence, actually a remix of a song he made and posted here before.
He put some basic samples from it on a site where you can freely download samples made by musicions for musicions.
COC999 than took those samples, added own samples and midiparts, and made a remix which he send to me as a mp3, asking for some comment on it.
I heard the (nice) song and immediately got a jungle style association with it, specially due to the bassline of Algo.
There was just a hihat/clap loop used by COC, so I took a long, 20 measures jungle beat sample, cut it up in pieces and put them under COC's mix, without changing anything at the mix.
In three hours COC got this back as mp3, with some comments about the mix.
We emailed about this and decided to go for it.
We exchanged COC's Cubase song, the effects and the full mac Aiff audiofiles by p2p Hotline, and I started the remix of the remix of COC of the remix of Agorhythm of Algorhythm...
Are you still there?
So this is the result.
A funny thing is that some time ago occasionally it was Algo who mentioned on planetz the software Phatmatic Pro.
I checked this out and I immediately bought this super fat loop tool (kind of R*cycle, but waaay better, and VSTi!).
At the very moment COC contacted me, I got a (proud) beta tester of a new Phatmatic mac version that just was announced.
So I combined both 'tasks' by applying the Phatmatic in the remix to the loops, finished the remix with a voice sample from a Poke in the Ear sample cd and some sound edits, and - uhh -also reported a few bugs to Bitshift Audio

And now we are proud to presenttttt....

Actually there was a coproduction of several guys on planetz before, and we say yes! it's really fun to work this way

COC999 and I say thanks to Algo for the great audio material, and I thank COC for his very inspiring mix.
Hope you'll have a nice few minutes!
