Eqs change the stereo image?
wasn't there a phase problem with one of the mixers ?
At least what you experience is in that domain. Phase fidelity is very important.
It may not only influence the spatial perception of sound, but also extinguish / amplify parts of the frequency spectrum.
My personal revelation were the akai samples of rhodes on wizzoo 'magnetica'.
Played on SBLive (which is phase-problem-certified) I judged 'crap' and was somewhat disappointed (magnetica had great reviews).
On STS 3000 they sounded completely different, exactly as described.
cheers, Tom

No surprise. There was a government organization here in Poland called Sluzba Bezpieczenstwa (we called them SB), a Polish KGB or Stasi - so it still works bu now as SBLive (or SB still LivesOn 2002-11-20 18:07, astroman wrote:

Maybe there's a bug with the EQ. It sounds like that the left channel isn't filtered in exactly the same way as the right channel. A minimal difference between the channels can have impact on the stereo image, as filters also change the phase of audio. On 2002-11-20 12:21, bosone wrote:
is it only an impression, or when i load an eq as insert in 1632mixer and activate a band, there is a change in the stereo image of the sound? it seems more "spacious" after Eq insert than without it.
