I'd like to hear opinions on thatone. I's somehow difficult to describe this song for me. It has a straight groove but is somehow experimental and extraordinair...
Other instruments:
some samples from Oslo-town in Norway
e-guitar
vocals (german text)
...synth stuff
MCCYRANO

Nice song however...
1. The ambience sound is quite out of phase for me causing 80% dissapearing while listening to it in mono mode
2. The goofy should be a bit less wide in stereo spectrum
3. The sub bass frequencies sound good on big monitors but the feeling disappears while listening through a 'normal' pair of laudspeakers. Additionaly the low frequencies causes the peak level to be higher than necessary. If you fade low frequencies (100Hz and below) by about 4db lower you can maximize the song by about 5db making it louder comparing to other songs.
But the song is cool!

sounds cool. didn't really notice any bass loss (there's LOTS of it) on my monitors, but I'd understand that some of it is going to be lost for sure, on most consumer type speakers. Oh well, can't make everyone happy. By the way, I thought the tune was loud enough.. maybe because I don't really concentrate on making my tunes very loud. This tune marks about 7 db below my normal monitor level.
Not my style, but great song structure, well elaborated arrangement, I like that.
Nice drums, also I like that whirling snare. R8?
Also very good sounding voice(s), fitting the style, perfect.
Listening to the text (expressing a desire for someone) combined with the musical colors you choose it seems to me 'love' is possibly a bit struggle to you?
strange enough you essentially change your colors at the end...
I like that, somewhere love should get vulnerable
Technically: may be Sam has right, coz I can hear a big difference between my headphone (deeep low I can hear) and my (nice) studio nearfields.
A too big difference makes me thinking always.
Anyway, a good work!

Nice song, very appealing grooves. Bass it’s rather thik here, no need for more.
I like the song as a whole, it’s well structure till 4.17. Then comes the change which I don’t really like, the force I was feeling at the beginning got lost I think. I agree with a change in there, but something completely different, even stronger or harder if you like, than the main them.
The voices are nice but a bit dark, a little more headroom and presence would have been nice I think.
I enjoined it!

Wow, thanks for all that comments!!!

@ samplaire: You're right with the bassthing. I had problems to get it right in the mix (my first trys were even worse) and when I find the time I will try out your great tips!
Never made any thoughts about Phase-problems. Have to learn something about that.
In my first version even the stereobase of the drums were extended - but I found that it was a bad idea (I listen mostly with my headphones. To hear it on real monitors i allways have to go to another place...).
@hubird: Snare was part of a free EXS24 set I downloaded somewhere in the net. Converted it with wavtoakai into STS samples. I edit most samples before I use them but in most cases I can't say what exactly I did ;o)...
Love: In most of my songs I rather felt that totally romantically-blown-away-somehow-unfullfilled-love. This song is about (hard to explain in english
)my feelings of being strong and of being so much in physical touch and my very confident feelings to the beloved girl.
... hm... somehow you're right with "struggling" too... I didn't notice it before but the song is not so relaxed. Maybe it's because I did it when she left for a period studying in norway.
The whole song is about 10 minutes long. After the parts I put here there is again a harder part and then a very soft one (which my girlfriend likes most ;o))... and some weired stuff, that are rather experiments and fragments from other ideas.
The part in the end of this version is contrasting the hard voice in the beginning.. . I speak to her, so although feeling that power my feelings for her are rather soft:-).
It's getting really vulnerable there, because it questions the powerfull parts in the beginning.
@nestor: I agree. The part in the end is not following the logic of the song... Maybe in the next version I will try out a harder part. Got some groovy fragments... maybe with real percussion solo... have to try it out.
