That's up to you. But if you don't use the tricks, it will hardly work at all, I'm afraid.

Cheers.

If I had to do work on a time basis, I could not work with XTC mode. There's much I need to learn about it. Probably it runs fine for lots of users, I haven't heared one Pulsar XTC user complain. I know of professionals using it without problems.

Why some people keep looking for tricks in an OS mode that doesn't work for all, cos admit, very few people use it.

XTC is real fun and quick to play. It's different from SFP mode. But can you imagine how easy it is to select and control the whole of DSP devices from within a sequencer?

I hope we can run XTC mode as safe as SFP one of these! Remember Pulsar OS 1.3a, which was far from stable as SFP. I hope XTC will be common ground in one year or so.

Early 2003, Steinberg will release VST3. I suppose CW is waiting a little with updates on XTC, untill they have the full VST3 specs and hosts.

i had xtc board and xtc (pro) software from the begining and i understand xtc's koncept, but in the meantime cw made sfp with new livebar placed ontop sequencer. pulsar's software in standard os mode now is integrated in sequencer like never before.
so, i wonder: what i get if i use xtc instead normal mode?
useing xtc and os in the sametime will be nice
and what is vst3?!?!
you know, if steinberg stop supporting vst i'll die

I asked about vst3 on the creamware forums, but so far I've had no response. I suppose it is early days, but the thought of full delay compensation throughout the signal path is exciting.
