I used to find STARTING recording with Samplitude a bit annoying. I press record, then wait, then when the counter starts (½ a minute may pass first), I start my DAT with the tape, I want to back-up.
Now things are even worse. My sleep for the comming night just went down to 5 hours (while trying to recover from ... I don't remember the word: My head is full of stuff, that squeezes me from inside and at the same time tries to escape thru my nose). I finally found a workaround, but it is not a satisfying way to work. I must press record in Samplitude, then reload my SFP project. The reloading makes the recording start.
I don't know why this works, but it does, and I will have a tape ready for tomorrow, so my biggest problem is over for now. But as I said before - this work-around should not be needed. I can imagine, multitracking in layers will be a real pain like this (if at all possible).
I use SFP 3.1c now. Before, it was 3.1(a?). Can this realy be the reason for the recording not starting by itself? I use the same 24bit wave drivers as before (unless these where updated for the worse).
