Looks good, if you buy it, you can ask them to install it with onboard sound disabled, and without the drivers for it.

If you record in the room, where your equipment is (wich you shouldn't, but I do, because I am an amateur), it might be of interest to have the Western Digital swapped with a Seagate Baracuda V (so far I have only seen the 120GB model). WD hard drives are among the noisier ones. The Seagate Baracuda V is the quietest harddrive you can find. And the Seagate Baracuda IV is the second quitest

Get the MODEM out too. I see no use for it there. Less hardware, drivers etc works better.

It’s perhaps too far from you, but I’ll tell you anyway. My system was build by a group of engineers living in London, they called themselves “Area51Uk”, it’s a great team and they are responsible. Visit http://www.Area51uk.com, I think there is a new site under construction now, but you can get the phone and mail there to get in touch. The good thing is that you will not pay the British VAT living outside the UK.

Looks pretty nice.
I agree, more memory would be a plus.

Seems very reasonably priced.
One thing to consider is how noisy the machine itself is. I recently read this article:

http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/oth ... t_pc/1.php

Made me want to build a new machine from parts!! You have to especially consider the noise of the power supply, cpu fan and the hard disks.

Love that crazy heatsink on the CPU!

My pc's are so noisy, I ended up buying expensive long cables and moving the pc's into the closet-- but that's a pain when you want to change cd's, etc...

Good luck,
-John
