I've been one of those lucky guys with a WORKING xtc-project without snaps crackles and pops until, for reasons i do not understand, tonight. well i tried a fresh uninstall/install of sfp and i cannot start nor reinstall sfp. i only get that damn message:

"Cannot start scope fusion platform (error code 001)"
PLEASE anyone!! i'm moving to a new apt this weekend and i have 3-4 projects to finish before that. PLEASE!

What exactly did you do between the last time you could open the project and the first time you got the error?

I'd say have a look at your drivers. Ie. you could have had the beta WDM drivers installed previously which are 'newer' than the SFP 3.1c drivers. They may cause the problem.

Btw, can anyone enter the Support Database of CW?

thanks at0mic for your quick reply,
well the driver issue struck me as well, when i tried to reinstall the wdm-beta driver earlier today the installation was sort of "jumpy". you know the hourglass showing/not showing etc..

i installed wavelab 4 yesterday, today i ran in xtc-mode from the first time since i installed it and now.... well you know the rest.

so what do you suggest? i uninstalled the scope boars and it's driver under control panel -> system but after restart the (beta)wdm driver still studder, jumps..

i also noticed the creamware forum is down...could there BE worse timing??

Maybe install the latest drivers. Although CW states it's only for Sonar etc, not for XTC mode. http://www.creamware.de/en/download/sof ... 31c_pc.asp

For a mirror of SFP 3.1a and 3.1c, check my homepage. But I suppose you got 3.1c allready.

Btw, you did install 3.1c AFTER installing 3.1a, right?

yes! i unistalled/reinstalled the drivers a coulple of times, don't really know wich one i chose but it worked. just updated to 3.1c now and unfortunately my new born crackles when inserting in xtcmode are still there...

i KNOW i've seen an article about that issue somewhere in the cw support but since it's down...

i run win xp on p4 intel 850e chipset 256 rambus.

thanx again at0mic! one of planetz true COREs

CW's forum is online, but their Support Database is having problems -for me at least.

There's a couple of interesting XTC topics here, have a look in Problem Solving and in Tips & Tricks. Let's hope one recalls the solution to your problem.

i really don't know if it helps, but 3.1c release drivers are older than 3.1a. maybe this can bring some confusion, but check that you have those from 3.1c driver folder.
the strange thing is that they have the same name (1.50.10), but the latest are older (check the date of the file).
i know it for sure.

ciao.
