To understand how it sounds, we made a 2'30 Sound Demo (MP3)with a palette of presets.
The Guitar Amp Modeller was used alone (with absolutely no external effects) plugged directly to the recorder.
Played by Jean Jacques Cramier, french guitar performer, with my own Strat.
(we did'nt even change the strings.)

Celmo, I must say that i'm really impressed. I've just downloaded your demo of this Guitar Amp Modeler, and WOW!

Hey, i'm playing thru a 'Godin Artisan ST' i bought in a Pigalle store, and i used alot of different amp, from an old Accoustics 500 watts with 4x10", Fender twin verbs (love those), Marshall stacks, and newer Marshall with tube valve mixed with transistor (to give full crunch at a lower volume). And i must say this is VERY close to the real thing.

Can almost set the ampMod to those old amp i've own, particularly the old accoustics with the tremolo. Too coOl!

I'll try the free one, but i doubt that i'll stay with it long, i'll probably upgrade soon!!!

Hey Hey, for those who thought DSP could not make a good guitar amp, try this!

Your Blues Man has become my main plug-in for guitar. I would like very much to upgrade to the Guitar Amp Modeller, it certainly sounds much better and richer than the freebie, of course. Unfortunately I have priorities and little money!

This is rely AN INCREDIBLE PLUG-ING, one of the best ever done for Pulsar Scope users. I can’t congratulate you enough. I’ve got the sound I was looking for the guitar. All other distortions where rough, particularly when you are not playing the instrument… - loooots of loud noise!!! - which is very annoying. The Pulsar distortion plug is just ok for synths, but for guitar sounds is rather bad, it sounds like a toy guitar.

There were several plug-ins that wanted to reach the status being truly guitar distortion effects, released about a year ago - quite expensive for what they could do as well - but unfortunately they were completely unsuccessful, the sound was bad… In fact, they do exactly what you would do rising up the signal level till it distorts.

I didn’t have any hope for someone to do an Amp Modeller, a good realist distortion or something like that cos it is known as being a very difficult task, this is what the expert say anyway. Well, I don’t know how you actually reached this stage, but it’s an incredible plug-in, it really is inspiring.

Before Blues Man, when recording distorted guitars I was forced to use many different plug-ins spending lots of DSP power to reach a moderate good distorted sound for the guitar. Disappointed, I thought to buy a pedal distortion forgetting software at all, but you did it. Truly thanks for this incredible good plug-in.

just got it !!
simply amazing .
it's the start of a long story I think .
it would be great if you add different drive stage ( like tweed, british,califonia, metal ..) and a HP/mike emulator ( 1*12;4*10 ;4*12 etc mike in hp axis or off axis etc ..) .
so now it's the best sounding guit amp plugin I'm ever play with....

Only to be used as "Stereo to mono to stereo"(!!) insert on creamware mixers

I can’t say otherwise, I am totally IN LOVE with the GAM, my last release is full of guitar playing thanks to this Plug-In. Without it, I would have been forced to use little guitar, but now I’m forced to use “lots of guitar” cos how can you let this superb sound out of a song? Yea!

Perhaps, what I most appreciate of the GAM is that makes me feel hot when playing, I get real warm and altered for the sound and my fingers move by themselves like magic, this really is an INSPIRING Plug-In isn’t it?

I have to say: Great work Celmo! Even if I had said it already one hundred times…

I can't open the presets in SFP with the GAM Demo. In pulsar 3 it worked (but I haven't had the time to test it out and now I changed the Platform

)

All I can say is fantastic.

Amplitube costs about 8 times this and I'm not sure it sounds as good.

Hmm, never heard of Amplitube. Samplitude, yes. From the same makers, perhaps? What do you all think of Steinbergs/Hughes & Kettners Warp tube amp thingy, then?

Amplitube is from IK Multimedia (they also have T-Racks and SampleTank) and it is said to be the best native amp modeller at the moment. Check out http://www.amplitube.com/ for more info.

Like Krabat, I can't open the presets.
The preset button goes yellow momentarily but no preset window. This is the registered version running on SFP 3.1c with WinXP.

This is still an old pulsar devices, so the preset list open from the device itself... You have to open the device, then click on the preset button. It will not work from the live bar...
