I'd like to start by saying that i like my xtc-mode! i know i've been nagging some about it and i'd be the first one to say that at least 60 % is due to my own incompetence.
'nuff said.
Now, when i wanna record vocals or anything passing through my analog-source i get meter-activity in logic and whwn i playback i can surely hear what i just recorded but i
C A N N O T H E A R the "direct" feed from my analog source in xtc-mode.
it's kind of hard to record without hearing what i record until afterwards, when i playback.
PLEASE anyone? i'm this close to exclusivly use the xtc-mode all through my recording-mixing process wich would be heaven to me so PLEASE give me something to celebrate on sunday, thanksgiving :wink:
over and out from a cooold sweden.

I don't work with Logic, but in Cubase you need DirectMonitoring On (implemented in ASIO2, not ASIO) and if the channel's monitor button is on, it's hear thru the mix output as well.

YES at0mic! YES YES!!
i still really don't know exactly what the DPMC is there for but everything works now!
the main factor was, of course, the use of asio 2 modules instead of asio.
my simple logic 5.2 routing for whom it may concern:

asio2-32 source 64->DPMC->luna analog dest.
AND asio2-32 64->merge->asio2 dest 64 ch1&2.
luna analog source ->asio2 dest 64 ch3&4.
as you can see i use 2 channels on asio-source and 4 channels on asio-dest.
+ the standard seq dest etc midi routing.

(now i just have to figure out what the heck the "clk" input is used for on asio dest....)

Thanx again At0mic!!

You won't need the Clock unless you want ASIO2 sequencer to slave to external devices. It's something like SMPTE or MTC I think, but a proprietary ASIO2 sync format.

I'm glad at least one of us got it to work :grin:

It worked fine here for one session, I started to try everything. Ended up with a new disk drive :lol: and a format plus reinstall... and it's not gotten any better. Cross fingers.

Don't misunderstand, SFP works rock solid here, XTC is giving me problems. I treat it as a luxury problem and I promise granny I won't be sleepless :wink:

I use the clk dest on the asio module to sync asio driver with my VRC-128 mtc out.

So Asio2 driver is sample accurate with VDAT recording.
