I've been experimenting with some reverb theories and i need to modulate the delay times with a LFO but i can't get it to work.

I used the tempo delay. If i connect a const. freq i can set the delay times with it and i can set them at shorter times. Less than 45 ms that you can set manually. But when i try to modulate it it does'nt work.

I tried with OSC, FM operator and in desperation mixing fixed freq. with a LFO. Of course that did'nt work.

So basically i am lost.

And i did'nt seem to get the lopass filter in the delay module to work either. That probablly only works with internal feedback and i need external feedback. So it is not a biggie.

I'll post it if i get something useful.
In the meantime i've been doing it in Reaktor with some good results. It could be a nice alternative to the other reverbs. You can never have to many, can you?

BTW i have Modular II. Have'nt upgraded to Mod II yet but i will.

Wouldn't it be easier to use a midi controller event to the delay knob?

No. That really isn't an option.
I need at least 4 LFO:s modulating delay times and i really don't wan't to do it that way.
The thought crossed my mind though.

There must be another way to do it.
Mixing 2 modulators. How hard can it be.

Hi,

My suggestion is the MIII. It has a Modulation Delay where doing the thing you´re looking for would be easypeasy.

There is a modulating delay in Mod 2 as well.
I can set the delay time using a fixed frq. module.
But there must be a way to modulate the delay times.
When i try with an osc. it does'nt work.
If it did i could just modulate the osc. frq with a LFO but so far the only thing that works is the fixed freq. module.

I'll do some more experimenting today so we'll see.

Problem solved.
I connected the const. freq. module to a pitch modifier which i modulate with a LFO.
I got a "division by zero" error message.
That's why it took so long to figure out the solution.

It works though.

But it crackles when i modulate the delay time. As to be expected you might say. Yes. But it does'nt when i do the same in Reaktor.

Anyone got a solution for that?

the crackling is why you need the modulation delay in the modular3
