There is something strange about the well known latency when inserting Pulsar-effects in XTC-mode. Usually you must insert the XTC Delay M/S into every channel as soon as you have inserted only one effect in another channel. E. g. you insert a chorus on channel one, you will have to insert the XTC Delay M/S into any other channel to compensate the latency of channel one.

I am using SX and - what a surprise - the latency sometimes occurs (e. g. when I use the Compressor) and sometimes it does not occur (e. g. when I use the Chorus). And even more surprising is, that I must (!) insert the XTC Delay in any channel that plays a Pulsar Synth - that means, that this synth is "too fast" or sounds "earlier" than a VST-Synth or audio track. This is unexplainable, right?

I mean, this is not really annoying, as I definitively save time because I do not have to insert the XTC Delay into every damn channel. But I really would like to understand it ...

Any idea?

Uwe

hi ,
no answers here ..
I've got the same trouble in nuendo 1.53 .
with two identical tracks with the same FX (vinco and peq4) I've got an awful sound . strange because the latency should be the same ??? without the fx the sound is perfect ....

your sequencer can be adjusted to play that track earlier to compensate.
