September 9th 2002

From today, version 5.3 of Logic is now also available for Mac OS 9.x and Windows. The features of this version are identical to those of 5.3 for Mac OS X, which was released on September 2nd, 2002.

Also making its premiere in Logic 5.3 is Emagic's first organ, the EVB3. Every owner of Logic 5 can now test the EVB3 for a period of 4 weeks for free. The EVB3 will be available for purchase at international Emagic dealers in September 2002.

The 5.3 free update is now available for all registered owners of Logic Platinum 5, Gold 5 and Audio 5 Macintosh and Windows on the Emagic website as a free download. Please make sure to read the Update-Info for more detailed information.

I was surprised to see this but it's not the end of September yet...
Although, isn't Emagic be releasing Sam 6.5 Pro by now?

I just hope by 5.4 they get the stability that 5.13 had back. 5.13 is the most stable Logic ver I've experienced since before all this vsti & automation hubub...

No the marriage is over Emagic will have nothing to do with Samplitude again.

Read about it www.samplitude.de

I believe this is the best move, I wasn't overly happy with the Emagic Distribution thing

Yet another twist to the plot! This is beginning to look like a bad scene. The honeymoon is definitely over!

I rarely go to sam.de since I can't read German - yet! They'll probably update their English mirror site in a few days.

Looks like Emagic doesn't have any news regarding Samplitude stuff for now...

Hopefully, Sam 6.5 Pro will be out soon regardless of who the distributor will be. But, I'm glad that CreamWare is developing a new SCOPE DAW with much of TripleDAT's features and feel - now that is worth waiting for!

Now that Emagic are out of the equation they can put back the features that were removed and go straight to Ver 7.0,
the flip side is no show until November,
they're doing there own distribution.

cheers
