No I can't see what the fuss is about.

I tried it today, and its basically just a collective bug fix, with a few new things for tablet pc's etc.

They have also put in something to allow the end user to prevent Access to microsoft "middleware" In order to meet the DOJ demands.

Unfortunetely this does not remove any of the microsoft cack, such IE6, its still there only hidden.

But bug fixes are always useful, so I can't complain.

But I shall be eaglerly awaiting the arrival of WinXPlite (from makers of Win98lite) to make a leanXP partition for music

Yeah, let's hope WinXP lite will come later, with this new way of custom/OEM installations. I hope there's some benefit in SP1 :wink:

They fixed 30% (!) of the reported bugs. I like it.

Remember also... you can always choose what components and services you want loaded, how much details you want in the gfx, etc. That's standard in XP
