Hi.
In scope, is it possible to use one of the adat outputs as optical spdif or can you only toggle between using all adat ins/outs as either adat or spdif?
It seems like you can only hard toggle between the 2 in the samplerate window. Would be cool if there is a way to have one port set up as a selectable adat/spdif port
Thanks

According to the manual that should be possible. For the details see the "I/O & Drivers" chapter.

Scope v5 and up:
sample rate settings dialogue box > button "optical S/P DIF" !
ONE (1) of the ADAT ports becomes opt. S/P DIF,-
rules for 6-DSP and 14-DSP cards.
XITE I dunno,- never tried and isn´t mentioned in the Scope v5 manual.

Re: Turning an adat port into an SPDIF port?
You're right — in Scope, the optical ports can only be globally switched between ADAT and S/PDIF via the samplerate settings. Unfortunately, there's no way to assign one optical port as ADAT and another as S/PDIF simultaneously. It’s a system-wide setting. A workaround would be using a format converter externally if you really need both at the same time.
