Again, all I’ve done is taken it off cassette and into Cubase before exporting to MP3.
It’s the story of Wulfhere who discovered that his sons had been converted to Christianity by St. Chad. He swore to kill his sons and chased off after them. He drowned his first son and killed his other in a sword fight. Finally he realised what he had done and was full of remorse.
I set out to try and recreate analogue teutonic electronic music from the late 70’s using only digital equipment. I own up to using 4 or 5 bars of Rubycon somewhere in the track! I think it gets going best around the 3 Mins 30 mark. I hope that someone likes it!
Mellotrons (strings, choir, flutes etc) are Roland JV1080.
Sequencing on an Akai SG01/V via outboard effects processor.
All other tracks (pads, effects etc) Korg 01/W and Yamaha SY77.
Part 2 is much more in the vein of Mike Oldfield, but that’s another story and another 7 or 8 minutes.
P.s - had to reduce the MP3 quality due to the filesize (6.7Mb)
