Can any one tell me for sure if the STM1632 mixer is still happy working in SFP 3.1a

I have reason to believe is running oout of support and that an insert preset save type bug may have surfaced inn the area of Aux Returns?

Also wondering if anyone else is struggling with general audio out on this mixer?? IE Between the mixer and Dest modules??

Running on a Pulsar I w/SFP in a PIII450 w 256Mb RAM. And any help greatly appreciated.

TIA...

G'day Ontik

From my experience the STM1632 works without a hitch with SFP 3.1a if it's running on a PC that it happens to get along with. I say this because up until recently I couldn't get any audio out of the 1632 without having to delete the device and reload it. Was this one of your problems? Yesterday I moved my CW hardware to a different machine with very similar specs (PIII 866, 512Mb, Win ME) and the problems disappeared completely.

The reason why is anyone's guess, but it MIGHT have been due to the fact that this time I installed SFP 3.1a from the word go, instead of upgrading from Pulsar 3 to SFP 3.1 to SFP 3.1a...

Just my 2 bob's worth.

Cheers,

Hmmm I just realised I've turned into a Pulsar Geek. Now where's that propeller hat...

It will work but you won't get AutoRouting if I'm remembering correctly. AutoRouting is pretty cool and can save you time setting up a project or wiring in devices, this one neat new feature of SFP you'll be missing. The new 2448 mixer and the 4896 mixer that come with SFP have AutoRouting, though.

For sure there are some problems with that mixer. I noted a few myself (although none that I found were show stoppers - just typical annoyances).
