Anyone have problems with a Pulsar II card in
a dual-boot system (98/2000)? The folks at
Creamware are no help, and I've been working on this for a while. Thanks
Dual Boot problems
Well, what editor are you using. I'm trying to use Sound Forge but the levels come in
distorted. I've been using TripleDAT for a long time and that will not work on dual boot system..no matter what the tech support folks seem to think. So, I moved on to SF4.5
and can get sound to go through the card and
record...but once I listen to the playback..
it sounds grainy and there's no discernable
level boost.
Thanks for asking.

Dualboot XP/98SE. Both tweaked. Have a look at the Tips&Tricks forum for the HOWTOs. TripleDAT plugin works only in 98SE. NO chance for XP! No problems here.
Tip for testing your performance:

Download 6thjune.zip from section News 12 July 2002. This demo is written for OpenGL and DirectSound. If no stutter happens or incomplete drawing, your machine is perfectly tuned.
Only useful for testing if CPU >1GHZ, GeForce or similar, enough RAM. Sorry, no chance for a 350 MHZ with TNT and 64 MB.
The demo is a wonderful commemoration for the late superb programmer Jan Horn.
May God bless him.
