I had find this that made me head akes since a time ago, and it might help a lot of you...

I hope it works. (remember installing first at all the Adaptec ACPI latest version)

Isn't ASPI installed w SFP 3.1a?

No, not at all, ASPI is an Adaptec program, Creamware has no right to give it in their distribution. You have to install it yourself, but, 'normaly' you wouldn't need ASPI no more cuz Microsnot has now a 'native' interface, but since it is not working correclty with all program (program's fault, hardcoded reference to some dll layers) it is still usefull to install it. For us, Since Creamware uses ASPI to read AKAI formatted cd, we still need it. But it is not normaly nedded. Look at CDXtract V4, it is using Microsnot native interface, and it can read akai cd, and emu, and roland also.
