Just got my pulsar 2 card yesterday and was hoping that I could use some pulsar synths/sampler with this mobo before i get more cash for P4 system.
Anyone got pulsar card atually working decently with KT7? I will get error message immediatly when I load STS sampler to my project. Even delay effects will give me this error?
I Have dispabled USB port. Network card installed to PCI-slot 2 and Pulsar in PCI-Slot 6. No other cards installed in PCI-slots.
Help Needed: Abit KT7 and PCI-Master-Overflow
Hello!
I found your very good topic earlier with search and tryed everything else but raising voltages. Still having very bad performance
I've tryed it without NIC and still it won't work.
I put more info about my system if you guys notice that there are something wrong.
IRQ 0 System timer OK
IRQ 1 PC/AT Enhanced PS/2 Keyboard (101/102-Key) OK
IRQ 6 Standard floppy disk controller OK
IRQ 8 System CMOS/real time clock OK
IRQ 9 Creamware Pulsar2 OK
IRQ 10 NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 OK
IRQ 11 Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC OK
IRQ 12 Microsoft PS/2 Mouse OK
IRQ 13 Numeric data processor OK
IRQ 14 Primary IDE Channel OK
IRQ 15 Secondary IDE Channel OK
At IDE1 I have Seagate Barraguda 20GB HD(Master) and Maxtor 80GB HD (Slave). At IDE2 i have HP's 9500 cdrw.
Power 250W
CPU Duron 800Mhz.
2 x 128MB Memory sticks and 1 x 256MB Memory stick. Memory running at 100Mhz. Memory suport 133Mhz but when i try to install XP with memorys running at 133MHhz it will give me read errors from cd. When I switch back to 100Mhz it will install nicely.
Are there some tweaks to do with Cubase XS or Pulsar settings?

The five important steps to getting pulsar working on VIA chipsets.
1.) Remove bus hoggers, scsi, raid controllers, (Network see notes below)
2.) Install WinXp in Standard Pc mode, without ACPI support*
3.) Install the lastest VIA 4 in 1 Drivers
The lastest version is v4.40, this is a very important step.
4.) Install the Via Latency Patch, v0.18 should do the trick.
5.) Up the latency of the pulsar card using powertweak to anywhere between 64-128. 96 worked well for me.
Notes:
*Im not sure if your mobbo has ACPI, the way to check is in device manager, under the computer category, if it says Standard PC you are already set correctly, if it says something else, read this info http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... 97&forum=3 (is win2k, but applies to XP)
*network isn't too bad becuase this device isn't usually in use at the same time as pulsar, on my system it would just cause an pci overload if I accessed the network
