I'm running Pulsar 2, Logic (midi only - no Asio audio) and Gigastudio.
What's the best setup to incorporate the B4 from NI (as a standalone I suppose)? I love the sound and want to get it, but I was at a mate's place who already has the B4 and gear similar to mine and I couldn't get the latency down very low (felt like 15 - 30ms although the MME driver slider said 10ms).
Then I read a post from a guy who said he uses Asio2 drivers and gets really fast response.
I can see Asio stuff in the Windows Devices folder of the Pulsar project, but I'm too thick to understand how to link everything up - if that's what I SHOULD be doing....
Could someone give me a step by step??
How to put B4 into Pulsar

1load an asio2 source/dest module.
2send the asio dest to your analog out for monitoring.
3set your midi source up to a sequencer dest.
4load the B4.
5should work now
all of these modules are in your hardware and windows folders.

Wow!
Thanks Algy!
I didn't realise how close I was.
This is what I did, for those who have similar problems.
1. Grabbed an Asio2 source module from the Pulsar Windows Devices and plugged its outputs into a couple of inputs on the big mixer.
2. I grabbed an Asio2 destination module, but couldn't do anything with it - so I left it alone =0
3. We then loaded Logic and assigned a track to the windows internal 'generator synth'
4. Loaded the B4 and set Audio Port to Asio
5. IN Audio setting went to adjust the buffer size. But thise was fixed at 64 and a note said 'Adjust in soundcard's settings'. SO I left it. Asio Scope was the only driver option on this page.
6. Looked at the audio routing page. Didn't follow it. Left it alone.
7. In Midi settings chose the Generator INternal Midiport as the installed midiport.
8. When we ran it again, the latency was nonexistent. YAYAYAYAY!
9. Then I noticed clicks oohhhhh.
10. Then I remebered the buffer size had to be adjusted in the soundcard, so I went to the ULLI settings in Pulsar ans changed from 1ms to 6, and restarted Pulsar.
11. Had to restart everything else, and when the B4 kicked off we got an error message saying that the buffer size couldn't be loaded and asking if we wanted to use the preset. Said yes and B4 loaded.
12. No clicks!!! No latency!!! Went to Audio settings and notced that this page reflected the change in buffer size made in the PUlsar card. Buffer size was now 128.
My friend's a very happy chappy, and I'm getting a B4 and a Pro 52 on Monday.
Thank for the help guys!!!
Must check out how to run both simultaneously though....
Thanks Algy!
