Hi mates.
I've recently buyed my new DAW and i've a lots of sonar crashes under win XP.
The crashes seems caused by DXi's and VSTi's (with fxpansion VST adapter 3.03) especially when u put a project in loop mode.Well, when u press stop sometimes (or better, the most times u press stop if don't every time...) sonar hangs up and windogz XP give me an error message :
APPNAME : sonar.exe APPVER : 11.0.0.131
MODNAME : Cyclone.dll MODVER : 11.0.0.154
OFFSET : 0001279a

This error appears sometimes when i use cyclone DXi but with a lot of others of Dxi's and VSti's i've the same error (pentagon DXi,LexiconPSP42,the main dll of the FXPANSION VST ADAPTER and others).

This is the message error of sonar when the
crash is caused by the LEXICON PSP 42 DX :

AppName : sonar.exe AppVer : 11.0.0.131
ModName : lexiconpsp42dx.dll ModVer : 0.0.0.0
offset : 00010108

But using no Dxi's and no Vsti's (only reason linked via rewire) i've received this error :

AppName : sonar.exe AppVer : 11.0.0.131
ModName : Unknow ModVer:0.0.0.0
offset : 000c0105

Somebody can explain me some more?
Seems that increasing the ULLY settings (now at 13 msec) the crashes are a bit less...but still here! It's a bad driver problem?

That's my configuration :

AThlon XP 2000
ASUS A7M266 (Bios 1007,latest version)
1 GB RAm PC2100
Windows XP with no ACPI,no USB,no Internet,no LAN,no games...only audio softwares and plug.ins.
Latest via 4 in 1 drivers (only IDE drivers installed from 4 in 1 package. The AGP driver is from AMD (someone says it's better than AGP VIA driver packaged in 4in1).
MATROX G450 DH (latest drivers)
Creamware Pulsar 2 DSP card
Creamware Powersampler DSP card
2 IBM IDE HD 60 Gb
1 Maxtor IDE HD 20 Gb

What brand of RAM are you using ?
If I remember it correctly, that motherboard is very picky when it comes to ram...

Did it crash like this on your old PC?
Did your new PC start crashing after some installation or change to your system or has it been like this since you built it ?
Have you tried reinstalling Sonar (or other apps) ?

No crashes like that on my old DAW.
It crashes like this for the first time i use it.(
It's very strange.Seems that all the plug-ins dll. suffer for this problem!
Some are more unstable of others but when u use DXi/VSti's after a while some .dll crashes , crashing sonar.
HEEELP!

Yes, that board is really picky about RAM. Try it with one stick of "Crucial" ram - one stick only - like 128meg or 256meg, maybe borrowed... Or if that is impossible just try it with ONE stick of your ram in one slot.

Lots of crashes usually means bad hardware or drivers or bad crack...
