It's more fun than the D50.
I'm still just having fun.
Improvements on the Filter/Resonance and FX are noticeable.
But my guess is nobody has made "New" presets using sweeping pads via LFO or P-ENV.

So I'll be doing some fat Dual 8 voice presets.

I'm impressed with the metal Chassis and build quality.
Plus no PSU is nice.

Actually my new way of using the D-05 is basically an Expander for Solaris.

Don't care for the D-05, or D50 for that matter as far as loops.
I have far better Wavetables aka Waldorf on Solaris.

I'm making incredible sounds combining Solaris w/ the D-05.
Been using samples on Solaris with good results, adding D-05 partials and waveforms just expands on this.
Plus the P-ENV is great

Back to SE-02.
One of the best synths I've ever owned.
While it's Delay is very niche and sounds great, dNa Prime using its little known VCA feature for Ducking is outstanding.

We all love distortion on synths, but no need for further treatment with plug ins.
The feedback parameter for Oscillators is just sick.

If you want a great synth in the Scope environment, I can't think of a better sounding monosynth, regardless of price or size.

I must share a 1 take recording since I am lame with DAWs.
I use to use VDAT, I mourn its loss.
But Bidule has a recorder Module, no click, no editing, etc.

I'll post back soon as long as my 24 bit WAV Source Module allows me to hear the playback.

Back to SE-02.
One of the best synths I've ever owned.

You only have to play with it for a couple of minutes to love it. The delay ruins it. Get an Eventide Space pedal.

Nice vid! Now that i've got my Rev2 the next analog synth will be a monosynth. I've kind of gotten over the small knobs and realized that small is what I need since I am way out of space in my small room. The Se-02 is at the top of my list right now. Won't be shopping for a little while though.

Yay a you've got to use the TC on synths using my MIDI Control ideas for FX.
I've got Wah-Wah sync from hell, phaser sweeps all using Expression pedals.

With all this talk of analogs lately i remember having an old analog in my basement, i really should dig it up this weekend. not only is it analog, its italian. And after googling a bit, people say its rare. It's a desktop module i picked up for around 60 dollars 10-12 years ago, but for some reason i packed it away when i was moving shortly after.
Its the Elka EM22, the desktop version of the EK22. I have found one guy selling it on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Extremely-Rare- ... SwZuRZ1zk4) but i don't trust that completely as it is a copy of an ad from some years ago.

Anyways, anyone have any experience with the EM22 or EK22?

Heh, thats what i was thinking as well when i saw it, but having bought a Korg Monopoly some years earlier for 150 bucks (!) and then reselling it at 450 bucks (!!! !!!!) i picked it up

I just now went down to get it, and i remember there is something fishy to it. It apparently has been to service earlier as a chip is marked defective. i need to do some research on this, but as far as i remember it is either lacking polyphony or split mode, i need to figure this out. there was a chip marked "def" as in defective (defekt in norwegian), time to google

I attached a picture of the culprit if anyone should recognize it.

I can check my Roland Hardware FX units as it's packed with chips.
I bought 3 of them installed new batteries then ended up stocking up TC Fireworx.
I'll check one out this weekend as 1 of the units is for spare parts.
Damn things are 35 years old and work great...

Synths are fun. Ella has some big ass sounding sa waves on their string machines.
I'm sure this unit is pretty fat..

Just a little update, I have fired it up and tried it out a bit. I have just tried the headphone out.
There seems to be some issues for sure. It has some issues with voices being played at different velocity or not at all, but split, poly and mono mode seems to be working besides these issues. I have managed to find a service manual with item descriptions and schematics, but i think i will make an own thread about this so this one can stay on topic.
Please don't rip apart any valuables for my sake yet, I'll have to verify the culprit
