So now i decided to buy ABIT SA6R with raid and i815EP chipset. But some recommended to buy ASUS CUSL-2C (Black pearl), so anyone....what's the difference. I'm using ABIT BH6 with 440bx chipset and it works fine, so Abit seems fine to me, what do you think, anyone has any problem with SA6R???
tnx in advance
ABIT or ASUS with Pulsarrr??
The ASUS is definitely the better of the two motherboards; Here's what Toms Hardware says about the <a href=http://www6.tomshardware.com/mainboard/ ... t_se6>ABIT 815</a>, then the <a href=http://www6.tomshardware.com/mainboard/ ... .html>ASUS CUSL2</a> (and check out the benchmarks later in the same article).
<a href=http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i ... >Anandtech on the ABIT</a>, and then <a href=http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i ... >Anandtech on the ASUS</a>
Finally, here's a few words again from Tom's Hardware on the <a href=http://www6.tomshardware.com/mainboard/ ... html>Black Pearl</a> edition.
If building an Intel, I would buy the ASUS CUSL2 (or the Intel D815EEAL motherboard if you eventually want to add an Oasys). If building an AMD, preliminary reports are saying that the AMD761 chipset based ASUS K7M266 board is solid. I'll be building a couple machines based on the K7M266 next week, and should have more data on PCI performance then...
