DAWmixers
Horizontal mixers.
DAWmix32: 32 stereo channels mixer
DAWmix20+12: 20 stereo + 12 mono channels mixer.
DAWmix24: 24 stereo channels.
Quite low on dsp: no Pan controls (except DAWmix20+12 mono channels), no EQs, just 12dB Highpass filters.

just only to let you know ...roy thinnes wrote:DAWmix24

... it works very good on XITE-1 and auto DSP assignment is perfect,- it went on DSP#7 here.
Overall functionality and UI is well done.
thx again

Re: DAWmix24
thanks for testing, esp. Bud giving feedback that's also working for the xite.
I'm quite satisfied with it so far. A bit downsized, but hey - if you can't get it done with 24tracks, you won't get at all.
or, to quote atom: more has been done with less

Re: DAWmix24
Oh ! Excellent, Roy ! Thanks a lot ! Low on dsp = perfect : one always can add any pan or eq if needed...
But (as always, I'm not totaly satisfied) I just hope you'll release it's big brother with mmm... Let's say 40 channels..? Yep... 40 is a good number... 32+8 ! Very good number, even ! But I imagine that would add some extra boring things like having a second view.. Maybe I could use 2 of them, since a channel is not loaded on dsp if it doesn't have anything wired at its input, right ?
I'm still looking for a good STM alternative with stereo aux, lighter on dsp's and keeping midi CC.
I already like the horizontal view and the color feature is missing on STM or any mixer without.
Great !

Amazing! Thank you, Roy, for another superb addition
Re: DAWmix24
Been wanting to use your 4 Buss and 4 AUX 32 channel but it would cause the usual XITE-1 whinings if I packed it too much with FX.
This is the right amount of channels and I guess your re worked the DSP as it works flawlessly.
More than I need but I have wanted the stereo AUX stuff for my live gig for way too long and couldn't quite get the right combination using stock and 3rd party devices.
This Dog Hunts.
Filters everywhere.
Cool way to disable things and love the hidden name thing.
Great Gifts as usual thanks RoyT...

Re: DAWmix24
I initially tried this on my PCI 32bit computer and it runs fine but I just tried to open it on my Xite-1 64bit and it crashes Scope. Can anyone confirm?
All other CWM mixers load fine.

It does, but I forgot to mention I´m on Win XP 32Bit.

Re: DAWmix24+DAWmix32
yayajohn sorry to hear that it crashed on your 64bit xite.
I've made a 32 channel version with some circuit rework.
after all, 24 channels are a bit lame
(see download link on first post)

Re: DAWmix24+DAWmix32
thanks Roy, the 32 channel loads just fine. I think it is now finally time to replace the STM2448 in my startup.
U R awesome my friend.
Re: DAWmix24+DAWmix32
24 was fine and the 32 are fine for me.
I would donate to your favorite charity for a 16 x 8 x 8 x 2 version.
I so miss the stereo AUX sound.
My hardware Fireworx sounds great but gets phasy in the STM mixers.....

yayajohn, nice to hear it works on 64bit
Hi Jimmy.
Please don't take it for granted, but I heard it through the grapevine that another developer is making maybe just that thing you want, and much more... but that's only rumours
Hi Jimmy.
I understand. Would be perfect for your live performance..dawman wrote:I would donate to your favorite charity for a 16 x 8 x 8 x 2 version.

Re: DAWmix24+DAWmix32
Righto....
Your mixers just take the georgeous audio and redistribute in pristine proprtion to wherever routed.
Mehdi and Wolf also had that quality.
Been running stereo PA for larger venues and got spoiled.
FOH especially loves my Rotary emulation and Solaris.

Re: DAWmix24+DAWmix32
many thanks roy,
great concept!
2016 ...i wish:
DAWmix v2: with a selectable crossfader
example:
crossfade and/or multi-flt-crossfade between bus1 <-> bus2
(your concept of FOOXER)
DAWmix v3: with presetmorph, switchable over midi
(your concept of HARMONIA or CWMORPH_MODULE)
that would be a real difference to the other scope-mixers

Re: DAWmix24+DAWmix32
hi Spielraum!
-for xfading between busses you could use the bus outputs of the mixer -> Fooxer or Modular
-preset morphing is something which involves quite a lot of programming.
it's ok for only a few parameters like in Harmonia but is out of my budget for a 32 channel mixer with 5 controls per channel + master eq + aux + bus gains.
apart from this it would be such a dsp hog that it would even bother you xite guys sorry!

Re: DAWmix24+DAWmix32
roy, you're right,
but all in one, would be great
crossfade when route to master...
preset-morph, ok, i thought too
mmmhh...and for a smaller mixer...?
and only some parameters...?
level, pan, basic-eq, sends
..dream on

I would definitely agree with that! Managing the Xite's resources can be tricky and I like to have a lot of overhead on my startup project with un-needed stuff turned off.
These 2 mixers are great in that regard!
