I am running two opcode midi translator pc`s giving me a total of four midi output ports.... logic only wants to recognise ports 3&4 and doesnt recieve any midi input at all... I have tested the interface and its fine... runs ok with cubase on all ports in and out.. reinstalled logic/windows98/midi driver and still no joy.... I have a session in the studio tomorrow and cant record midi signals into logic and cant do the session in cubase!! .... has anyone got any suggestions (ps pulsar`s midi input doesnt work either) What am i doing wrong? is there a midi input selector or port setup option in logic...???? please help you guys are my only hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check the file called "win.ini" in your windows directory.
Under the heading [Logic] there should be a list of the midiports on your system. Some of them might be set to zero, wich means turned off. Example:
Opcode port1=0
Opcode port2=0
Opcode port3=1
Opcode port4=1
Change the zero's to 1 and restart Windows...
