Yes. Same pc.

W7.

It's my ancient pc. It works very well since long time. It was working perfectly yesterday.

I can't check the samplerate because it won't start, now. I took off the 3 cards and no start. But it did that already before.
My new pc is ok ! Now, it's the old one that .... me ! (I don't know enough dirty words in english).

Pffffff ! That's it !

One day I'll narrate the 6 past days ! I could writte a book !

You were right, garyb ! I went in the sample rate window and it's just that it was 'slave' , even the luna i/o box power led !

I gonna make some test, now, to see if everything is fine.

Thank you very much, garyb ! You're always there when needed ! Not like the cavalry which is always late...

But I still have some strange behavior... Something I did not since a very long time is to use the pci (pulsar I 4dsps & 3dsps card) midi input. And I'm wondering if it's not the issue. I remember some trouble like that years ago, before I gave up to use them.

I was sending midi from xite-1 to the 4dsps card, now, I'm doing the same but via 3dsps midi input to see if it changes anything. For the moment, ça va.

Can't say right now... But I'll find !

The cable between the 3 dsps card and its adat + luna cable extension is very old and too short. I pull on it since 15 years ! And stucked between other cards, it's worn, I can see the conductor ! (but it wouldn't be a midi problem, indeed).

It could be also the 3 dsp card it self.

Well.. As you see, I have no idea !

Jopo. If you are looking to do midi btwn the two Scope computers you might want to try a small ethernet router and just use copperlan. It's been working great here. Not sure how the specs are for latency though, maybe someone else might know which is faster.

Similarly, there is rtpMIDI http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/rtpmidi.html

This is the standard that Apple added for networking MIDI to both iOS and OSX. So with this driver, you can talk with an iOS device or an Apple computer (or another PC that has rtpMIDI installed).

I've used it to communicate with Lemur on my iOS iPad2 (hard to see latency since it was just CC messages). But also used it to sync my PC with an Apple laptop...and it worked nearly as well as MIDI (honestly, his Apple had way worse MIDI jitter than my PC/XITE does for MIDI, so there was some jitter in the clock on his end! But it worked well enough)

The only issue I've seen with rtpMIDI is when the computer goes to sleep, once in a while rtpMIDI will use 100% of a CPU when the PC wakes back up. If you don't use sleep, there's no problems at all.

Thanks a lot, guys ! Ipmidi doesn't look free and I don't use any apple device...

So, Copperlan is perfect for what I do. And the weird behavior disapeared.

I bought also 'vienna ensemble pro' which allows to use vst's (instrument or fx) on a slave computer without to make calculations for accurate latency inside any vst daw. I must say that after a really complicated idiot shop system and install, it is a very good application for several computer net to make music.

My system becomes very complicated between lan, copperlan, adat between xite & pci + 2 luna i/o and vienna but it's full of ressources and I believe it may last for years ... if no big breakage occurs ...

I was not sure of the MSI MB I bought because before to use copperlan & vienna, I had some very discreet craks noises but apparently, they are gone with the xite/pci midi i/o abandonment too.

It was 4 or 5 completly mad days but it's worth it ! I had problem with my ancient asus p5q but before to understand where it came from -> hours & hours, same with an old power supply : both not completly broken but once it works, a sudden it does not work, I scratched my head till blood !

:) :) :) Merci beaucoup for your help ! I really appreciated ! :) :) :)

Tobias Erichsen is my MIDI hero! Great stuff. There's a whole bunch of stuff I wouldn't know how to do without his software.
