Yup. It seems that plug is known for big-time latency issues.
Supposedly there's a replacement, DSM V2:

It seems to me that Optimaster has been doing most of the DSM V2's "Next Generation Dynamics Processing" for a really long time.

off topic, but...

There was some discussion on UA forums about how they can't put more than 4 DSPs in an Apollo because the FPGA is too small. I mean, come on! Just get a bigger FPGA! They're not expensive. Probably not more for a bigger FPGA than one DSP chip. I told them Creamware had 15 DSP cards with a small FPGA waaaaay back, so like a Nano in pink anything is possible. I think I shut them up :o

Too bad Sonic-Core doesn't have the marketing or R&D budget because the XITE platform could put a serious dent into UAD by blowing away Apollo in value, features and performance even more than it does now. Add MADI to the XITE? Yes. Scope 6? Yes. Truth in marketing? Yes. (Let SoundDesigner, Gary, Dante and Bud write the copy and design the ads!!!!! Viral on YouTube!). All right! You want more than 4 DSPs to run more plug-ins from UAD, buy more Apollo's. Or you could live happily ever after even with a humble XITE-1D MkII. (In Kingly Black, natch!)

Scope has a great story, it's about time it makes some serious history. Am I dreaming or how do we make this happen?

I mean back in the 90's when $2000 PC's were little more than emulating $3 calculators Scope was out there competing with 6 and 7 figure professional recording and broadcast operations with synths and samplers and users copping major awards like Oscars and Grammies.

When compared to Scope, everything else is "Back to the Future" but Scope is still "Future Proof".

Back on topic. Tom, your arm is too long. Sound travels at 1130 feet per second so your ears must be around a quarter of a mile away from your fingers.

Hey, it's true. The fact that these really old, obsolete cards STILL work with the newest software and work well just shows that they are future proof! Yes they need more stuff out there, maybe I'll put up some youtube videos of their synths... There are a few but very little views :(
