Hello everyone

Post by stonberg »

\o

It's been a while. Must say I was quite delighted to see Hubird back on the forums.

I hope everybody is well and enjoying life and their music.

"...but who is this extraordinarily handsome stranger?" I imagine you wondering (my imagination does run riot occasionally).

That is indeed a good question, imagined or otherwise, and its answer deserving, I would say, of a competition prize type of affair.

My username has changed, but it contains part of my real name.
I *almost* (*almost*) made it to Fire Breathing Levitating Overlord, but left before reaching this nigh-omniscient level.
The reason I left was that I was rather dismayed by continuous bickering in the forums at the time (related to a particular 3rd party plugin developer).
I have owned the same Pulsar II cards for 16 years now (how's that for longevity?! Still beats everything else available hands-down).
I am a big Rush fan, which has a bearing on my previous username.

It feels good to make a post here again, it really has been too long :)

Yeah, the inconvenient truth of a specific phase cancellation outcome :P

I took part in the bickering tho

Always good to have the old crew reappear. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then (I too was a bit active with a certain developer's comments), but I just ignore their announcements and don't buy their products so all is good. I think we're we're all getting along better than ever, I've even agreed with hubird a few times.

So you are..?

Purusha, central_rush and bitcrusher are the only alternatives if rush is in the name :)

The prize of an entire delicious chocolate cake is yet to be claimed!

This delicious half of a chocolate cake is...hang on...<NYOM>

This wonderful slice of delicious chocolate cake is yet to be claimed!

Droppin' clues like Professor Plum:

My former username is the name of a album by the dynamic Canadian trio.

[edit, to clarify: part of my current username is a part of my real name; 'rush' isn't part of my former username]

Explain, I don't get it, not even if you're joking or not... :-?

In case this matters:
The search member function of Planetz allows adding a * in front and/or at the back of the search word.
An entry of 'rush' gives you all alternatives with rush in it.
A googled list of releases by Rush showed up Counterparts, which I recognised as a member's name, and a Planetz search on the name gave me the quote with (affirmative) front name.

The cake is real (well, virtually)!

Image

The Portal Done Pro guy actually glitches his way into the location containing the cake and puts a companion cube on top of it :-)

Seems only fair for me to arrange a cake for Hubird, something like this maybe:
