Old TripleDAT files

Is there any way to salvage or import old TripleDAT files/projects without having TripleDAT?

I have some old demos that were done in TripleDAT but alas... TripleDAT is long gone.

I realize I can't open the *.ARG project files but I was wondering about the individual audio clips (*.TDS). If I could somehow convert them into WAV files or import those into Samplitude (for example) I could possibly re-align them to make sense. I was just curious.

Actually, I still have all the original program files (up to version 2.53) but I assume even trying to install the program is useless without the original TripleBoard.

Ahhh... those were the days lol

btw: does anyone still have TripleDAT and/or using it for anything meaningful?

Ohhh how cool! Thanks Dante! Just what I needed. Wish this had been around some years ago. I ended up throwing a bunch of early projects away (old studio TDAT archives that I assumed were irretrievable after I ditched TripleDAT back around 2002).

TripleDAT was the product I used for the first few years of my studio operation. Once Pulsar/Scope came along though I ditched the TripleBoard and ended up with Pulsar and an A16. That gave me the muscle I needed to run a legit studio operation and start charging actual money lol. But TripleDAT (unfortunately) was left to languish while other products leapfrogged it in terms of features and functionality. I started doing hip hop and other stuff and TripleDat just wasn't going to cut it.

well, to be honest... I don't actually use it atm ...
I happened to buy a TDAT system once dead cheap, with the 2xAdat PCI card including Osiris
the plugins were really good - some even outperformed Pulsar versions
most annoying feature was the DOS file naming
but the Triple license had a price advantage on ProPack back then iirc - it was a good deal

my other license came with a Scope card (TripleDat LE which was sold for a short while)
it's on the allkeys file and can be installed in a few minutes

after weighing options between Reaper and SAW-Studio I stuck with the latter
probably as close to Triple as can be
pure chance, I just prefer the tape-machine approach over sequencer
as they added the routing feature to Reaper it was out of the race immediately

probably not the ideal setup when you work for customers, tho... a sequencer can save time
most of my own stuff (90%) I track with an iPad (same old fashioned style with Multitrack-DAW), the rest is VDAT
