free scoring stage impulse for convolution

Post by kensuguro »

Did my best guest at the hexagonal air studio lyndhurst hall. Pretty much eyeballed every aspect of it, including the general size, so it's not accurate at all. But the end result sounded pretty good so you all can have it. Made with Voxengo Impulse modeler.

Also made a big sound stage for out doors sound effects (battles), not sure if it works, will be trying it out tomorrow.

I use it with SIR2 with no problems, not sure how these will work in other convolution plugs.. They're 44.1khz 32bit. Impulse modeler allows me to choose whatever resolution... maybe I should try higher? It's kind of hard to tell in a mix if higher resolution is significantly better sounding.

SIR2 is well worth the upgrade btw. I had SIR 1 for the longest time but couldn't bear the latency.

VSL MIR is the best convolution reverb but it's very expensive and not easy to obtain and download the demos. Can be used as a standard VST insert effect. Note must email support to join the site and download the free demos which are no restriction 30 day demos.
