Icon X-Synth
Icon X-Synth
I found this:
http://www.icon-global.com/Keyboards%2F ... -Synth.htm
Those synths seem familiar.
Does anybody have any idea what this is all about?

Remarkable...it's only XP32/Vista32 compatible

Re: Icon X-Synth

Re: Icon X-Synth
I was wondering about the connectors that would be "inside"...and if they are simply power + MIDI. It'd be ALOT of fun to get one of these and whip up an OSX editor in lemur. Very portable, and very DSP
Or...a Eurorack, so I can bring scope in my "other modular".

These were the guts for their 88 controller years ago, gotta find something to do with those old spare parts.

If it´s true ...vascomusic wrote:Remarkable...it's only XP32/Vista32 compatible
The controller keyboard where you can build 2 of these boards in as well as an additional audio interface, it is compatible w/:
Win XP and Win Vista 32Bit
Win 7 32 and 64Bit
OS X
http://www.icon-global.com/Keyboards%2f ... +6+air.htm
Now I wonder what happens when the board is built in,- only compatible w/ Win XP and Vista then ?
Can´t believe, would be much too stupid, isn´t it ?

Re: Icon X-Synth
I think it's just a matter of the librarian and editor. And Win7 probably didn't exist at the time these USEAudio cards were made. SCOPE works, I bet the editor/librarian works, too....
Re: Icon X-Synth
I spoke with the American distributor years back who was in Minnesota about their 88 noter.
Much of his ideas were hinged on educational contracts with public schools.
But once 2009 cut backs came into play I am pretty sure most of the ideas they had then, many good ones too, were shelved.
These controllers should be dirt cheap these dyas.
IIRC their MIDI controllers, surfaces mostly, were the only thing gaining steam since they were HUI.
