No one denies the ratline, but, as Bud explains, there is some arbitrariness in picking out this one.dante wrote:Doesn't matter - if dead or alive they are still wanted. A dead body is one less to look for. Most recent arrest of a live one I could find was 2012 and that case is still going on after deportation, with a few other cases going on as recently as 2011, 2012. The wanted list still has a top 10.Bud Weiser wrote:Well, old hat, isn´t it ? We have 2014 and how old must these guys, who used the "vatican ratline", be today,- if they are still alive at all ?
God is impartial !
Or you would tomorrow start memorising the colonels regime of Jorge Videla/Argentina, and so on.
Back in those days I supported a national movement for not sending the Dutch football team to the tournament.
Tomorrow I just wanne see Holland win the match, but still and only because of Videla!

Well, actually I want a Germany-Holland final

Re: pfew...
Arbitrariness perhaps - but I wasn't commenting on any denials, more that god and the Pope (or more broadly catholocism) may not necessarily be on the same side. Perhaps I should have used more modern examples.hubird wrote:No one denies the ratline, but, as Bud explains, there is some arbitrariness in picking out this one.
Re: pfew...
To be clear: to me, what they call 'God', this is an imaginary invention by humans, and so is (the profession of) the pope.
The pope and the catholicks not being 'at the same side' is a moderate expression when looking at all the pedocriminal violations in the Catholic Church worldwide shown in the past.
The question is, will Arjen Robben think of that when he get's that mega chance to score?
No, because as far as I know Robben as a child is not abused by Catholicks or by that one Reformed uncle.
Maybe he would have wanted to, but at least he never was.
The will to win is deeper...

Agreed. On both counts.hubird wrote:To be clear: to me, what they call 'God', this is an imaginary invention by humans, and so is (the profession of) the pope.

Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands have impressed me so much.
They remind me of my band, that makes next to nothing but sounds great.
The Guitarist got me into music in the 3rd grade, we are re united, then I have 2 x Road dogs from national touring groups I 've known all my life. We hear each other before the notes, no shit.
These guys play soccer as they sleep.
Very impressive, especially for being infidels.

Maybe, I don´t care.dante wrote:

Being born 1955 to me all is history and leading nazis were just only bloody stupid.
To understand how something like a "3rd Reich" was possible to grow up, you 1st have to understand all the history in "germany" before 1933.
In fact, it was almost impossible to establish a demoracy after WW 1 and Versaille Treaty.
Many of the leading nazis were already military in the german empire !
You didn´t make any empery a working democracy in 5 minutes at that times, especially not in a period of depression.
In times of depression in every country they look for a culprit,- it seems the human being needs culprits ...
Didn´t americans hunt communists ?
In german republic, the time between empery and 3rd Reich,- they hunted communists too and in 3rd Reich, well, it was the communists and jews.
But the most stupid was race theory because jew isn´t a race at all, that´s a religion,- zionist/zionism IIRC.
Now, when we look into Palestine/Israel conflict, the hardliners are zionists and Hamas and not the average people.
It´s all about religion,- always.
I´m a musician and worked w/ some foreign country and different culture musicians incl. jews and never had an issue.
Did I mention I was catholic and when I was old enough I quit.
To me, religious fanaticism is the most dangerous issue in the world.
We´d need worldwide religion prohibition and have a more peacefull world a few generations later, I´m sure.
Back to the world championship ...
Finaly germany vs argentinia,- the "ratline-match" ...
Frau Merkel will come I think ...
Wiill the pope come ?
Where was god ?
Eventually and when he exists.dante wrote: God is impartial !
And if,- who tells it´s "he",- why not "she" ... ?
And is "he/ she" a person at all or just only power ?
Can it be it´s all of us, it is in everyone of us ?
I think that is.

Perhaps a confession thread for us guilty ones.
I silently pray for Scope 6, why I am not sure, as I thought I was in Heaven already with Solaris and the XITE-1.
But these other worldly things just might be attainable,
As the Good Reverend once told me....(Incredible Gospel Singer)
Man's So-wool, cannot lee-ive on Shrimps, Clams and Poke Chops,
Cleophus Robinson
R.I.P. 1932-1998

Argentina did a good job in controlling Holland, alas both teams hostaged each other, so it got a boring match to look at, footballwise.
Let the best win the final
Fifa should stop planning games for the 3rd and 4th place, that's also here a common view.
As Seth Meyers said in his talkshow:
“…a third place event, which is the worst sporting event of all the sporting events in the world. Imagine you’re super depressed, because you can’t play for the World Cup and you and another super depressed team get to, for ninety minutes, just kick each other with a chance of winning a title that no one will ever speak of or remember. Just one more game, that no one cares about or will watch. So that’s Saturday at nobody cares PM.”

Re: pfew...

that's a "before we play" song.
Re: pfew...
I wasn't reacting on your post in the first place.
I just wanted to give the Germans the credits for their deserved 'Schland' victory
Dunno the relevant difference between both songs and what is so laughable, but that must be me

The reggae you posted is funny, especially because of the intelligent mix of languages,- and surprise, it´s not the stupid 4-on-the-floor disco-bd throughout.garyb wrote:well, it's all funny. the world cup, you, me, definitely those songs...
But I don´t have any clue what "Schland" means in the cover song of "Lena´s" Grand Prix d´Eurovision title.
This is the winner artist of the worldcup in germany ... he has the sales and airplay.
