Hi, First of all, thank you everyone.
I am a reaper user.
Everything works fine in XTC mode.
But I can't use XTC mode.
Because my computer randomly freeze
regularly in XTC mode.
So I need some help.
How can I use scope plugins
by using 'Reainsert' in SFP mode?
(not in XTC mode)
or any good solution else?
(I don't have a VDAT module)
I think It would be more helpful
with some snapshots of
a scope project and a reaper project
(ASIO I/O channels setting,
connections to STM mixer).
All replies are highly appreciated.
How to use scope plugins with Reainsert?
Re: How to use scope plugins with Reainsert?
Dunno 'Reainsert', but if it doesn't support XTC as VST-like solution you can't use SFP plugins inside Reaper.
There's even no need for it.
This is what you could do (forgive me if you know all this):
If you load the ASIO in/out modules from the main menu 'Software In/Outs' into your SFP project, these ASIO in and outs are 'seen' by Reaper in the software connections window (dunno Reaper, but it should be in something like that).
The same for the Midi I/O modules by the way.
By clicking on the modules you can enlarge the number of in- and outs, and all of them will be seen by Reaper.
Connect the mixer out to the ASIO in, and the ASIO Inputs (coming from Reaper) to your mixer input channels.
You can use the 'n' on your keyboard to easy connect after you ad one channel.
Check the mono/stereo button on each channel in the mixer to your choice in Reaper, the mixer module in your project window will follow with L/R indications.
Insert the plugins of your choice in the inserts of each mixer channel or master out channel.
So you mix in SFP, as the DSP cards or the Xite are/is 'external hardware' (to the computer, so to Reaper), unles you use XTC as VST (I never did).
So this way your sequencer is like the old taperecorder: not the heart but the end of the chain.
Meaning: monitor your sound directly from the mixer's master Out, chained to the 'Analog Out' module (main menu Hardware IOs) to your studio sound system.
This way you don't suffer from native latency when playing SFP or Reaper synths through Midi, which is one of the big advantages of DSP mixing.
hope this is what you was asking for

Reaper is a DAW.
And Reainsert is a reaper's 'external hardware' feature.
Reaper works fine with SFP
(both in SFP mode and in XTC mode).
I guess the problem is about my computer.
What I want is to use the SFP's awesome plugins for mixing.
I'll try what you advise tomorrow.
Thanks and best regards,

You can use reainsert by doing as described om the post above, in terms of asio input and output.
Just select the corresponding asio in/out in reainsert as you have patched in scope routing Window
