A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

SPDIF is a stereo input (cq output).
What's actually the question then?

I guess he Means Going from asio to a scope mixer then to stereo out.

Not sure, i am running 24 from asio - But not sure about the pure dsp load on that.

you can chain the mixer out to any audio output.

Basically, that is what I am doing now, and I can barely add a single synth to "the mix" while I render mp3's in Cubase.

According to the Sonic Core website, the 48 channel mixer is included so if I can use that then it would be great but I would also want to mix some audio in's from other sources including my current Scope system.

the Luna should have enough dsp, at least if that's all you do, but whether or not the machine will support 48 ASIO channels or not depends on the computer itself.

i can do that with my Luna in my internet computer.

Also know that your 48 CH mixer is stereo....and so do you need 48 tracks or 48 mono or 24 stereo asio channels? Stereo counts as 1 to mixer, but 2 to ASIO.

Since I'm using Virtual Instruments, 24 stereo channels should see me into the future for music composition purposes.

BTW are more channels available with X-ite?

The XITE has 64 ASIO input channels, plus 38 inputs. It has the same mixers available, for the most part.

However, you can load more than one mixer (Ie-make stem mixes). Routing that much audio isn't always a no brainer, and takes careful planning of DSP use and understanding of the communication channels available between DSps.

The cite adds more DSP power, so if you had a big mixer(s), you still have DSP for synths and compressors and other fx.

There's one on ebay at this time, but god knows what condition it is in; no actual pictures.

On XITE - you can mix 64 tracks whilst simultaneously recording 32 tracks : http://www.hitfoundry.com/issue_09/xit_64tk.htm and http://www.hitfoundry.com/issue_02/sampboth.htm
