Max. length Z-Link cables Xite-1 & an A16 Ultra

I finally bit the bullet and purchased 2 x 10 meter Unibrain Firewire 400 cables to connect my Xite-1 and A16 Ultra which I need to have in separate rooms.
I am pleased to report that this is working perfectly so can state without any doubt that running z-link over 10 meters is entirely possible with the right cables :-)
I am only posting this as I was frustrated that I could not find any info on this from anyone that had tried this already.
& for those that care, I will update all on my max. length hdmi cable between an expresscard and xite experiment soon :-)
