I never used anything but sparse projects with my Xite-1. But Yesterday, I started to use the VDAT, and since then, I have had issues with Scope.
Background info
The first issue I encountered was saving my project with VDAT in it with a tape.
The next time, I opened the project, Scope had made a new tape with the same name and placed it in /app/bin/
I started to connect the two outputs from my guitar signal path to VDAT, and this made the PC reboot - quite consistently.
After this, I have had lots of errors in Scope. Here is a "project" I tried to make at 48 kHz. This is from a fresh boot with an empty start up project. I powered off everything before this attempt.
The modular patch has nothing but 6dB filters, attenuators and gain stages in it.
Can you help me understand SAT connection and reboot errors?

I'm sorry. It was in 96 kHz.

Have a look at this - it might be of help to you:

"For VDAT you need to use the DSP 2".

Thanks Petal
I have tried, DSP 1, 2, 7, 8, 11 and 18 (automatic) and probably others too. I noticed something strange. When loading on DSP 1 or 2, I got an error when I tried to raise the trackcount to 32. On DSP 7, I could take it to 56 and got an error at 64. I think I remember these numbers right. It was late. When I tried to assign things (also other modules and devices) to DSP 3-6, I would get error messages immediately.
I think I found an Xite VDAT bug. Can someone check out if they get the same problem? If I connect i.e. a channel module to two of the inputs on VDAT, and then I connect the same channel outputs to more inputs on the VDAT, my PC reboots.

HI,
I have had many of the errors you mention when trying to work with VDAT on XITE-1.
fra77x has it pretty right.
The only thing I can add is you cannot save the project with more than the first 8 IO channels connected.
If you have a 32 channel project you want to save, all I can suggest is you disconnect inputs and outputs 9 - 32 and then save.
When you reload the project you will, of course, have to reconnect these channels but at least you can save this way!
