[SOLVED]installing some more cards - but not being recognizd

Post by Yogimeister »

Hi,

Im a long time luna3 user - which meand im kindof a late blooming noob ;)

I bought some pulsar2 cards and installed them into my old luna3 based daw ...
(i had to move my luna to another pci in order to fit them)

When i turned on my computer the found new hardware wizard started asking me for scope.sys cwscopeprop.dll ksuser and ks ...

I did not get an installtion CD with the cards and just pointed the wizard to the existing files in my windows folders.

The installation was completed successfully - but the sfp was not running ...

I rebooted to get a fresh launch - but got a series of errors windows
"Installation error - Hardware cannot be setup properly: tem error: timeout waiting for acknowledge from dsp 0"
And
"Cannot start scope fusion platform - uld not gain access to the creamware hardware ..."

:-?

I am running an old sfp3.1c - maybe the other boards have higher version licenses on them ??

I looked in the device manager and i could only see one instance of a scope board (under sound) in pci slot 3 - which i presume is my luna3)

All 3 boards are connected via two stdm cables ...

Do you have any words of wisdom / assistance ? :)

Thanks

when Scope starts it does a hardware diagnostics test and your cards are failing the test.
windows does not recognize the cards.

this means that the problem is either-
1. the motherboard's slots(very rare!)
2. the cards are not fully seated in their slots.
3. the drivers were not properly installed(windows device manager should showe unknown devices)
4. dead cards...

Ok ... It was the silly option - i guess i didnt insert them fully proper the first time ....

Now everything works - and its time to install the plugs and dive into this amazing world ...

(This was my dream as a boy with a Luna back in 2000 ... ;) )

Thank you so much Gary for your ongoing help ... ! :)
