Mttomat recsteps

Post by djmicron »

Anybody tried recsteps on mattomat?

The manual refers to a missing section and i'm unable to record at the moment.

Any suggestions are welcome

do you want to record mattomats midi output notes? For me no need, I record the Midinotes I Play from the masterkeyboard.

You can also record mattomats midi output notes, use midicabel. . .
:wink: out and about for music production. Are you still configguring your Studio :lol: music first!

no, i want to step record inside mattomat, instead of manually assigning note numbers.

ok solved.

output mode must be set to any of the options, but FixMN

on input mode just the hold options can be activated.

Then enable RecSteps and press run and unless the RecSteps is deactivated, after each cycle the sequence is overwritten by new notes(if any pressed).

I was hoping mattomat can step record note numbers too, but this is only good for positions on the sequence.

I was experimenting with this the other day. It seemed to erase and start recording anew after every cycle. Maybe selecting one of the hold buttons would fix that? To me the only way to really use this feature is to sync it to an external beat or metronone. I think it's something I will def use but will take a little getting used to to be effective. It can be a real time saver if you can hear and play a particular sequence rather than having to set each note and beat individually. Curious, does it record the velocity too?

i think it can only be used with external sync and already recorded midi coming from sequencer, or the result will be random.

Hope in some update with true step recording and midi note learn.

you can slave as much instances as you are able to load_
always connect each slave to the master;
// --
recstep records the steps for 1 circle;
the 1rst new note in the new circle erases the old one_
no new no erase;
good vibes
