I had been looking at Korg Zero which was claiming to be midi accurate with its latest update

That Korg news article was from 2008 I just sold my Zero 8 and replaced with a Traktor S4 and Behringer X2222USB. Let me know if you want to know more about the pros and cons of the Korg.

The other mixer looks interesting, but to me still shows what great value the BCR2000 and BCF2000 are.

I was looking for a simple and rugged controller but wow that X2222USB is amazing and right on the money

At home I use the Emulator Pro from SmithsonMartin and my ucapps midibox is still my favourite, though it needs an overhaul
You're right about the BCR and BCF, I only have the BCR and it has never let me down perhaps its time for a BCF but its at the same price range as the x2222usb
I saw the X-touch on the behringer site, that looks interesting too

yes the BCF/BCRs were in my mind as I looked at the Livid, which had better have excellent MIDI feedback and paging software, as it diminishes the I/Os we currently have on Behringer controllers, and costs twice the price.
Then I saw the X Touch Mini, and X Touch and know exactly which untis I will buy.

Every little request for the old Behringers to do was answered in spades.
I think they are smart to bring old faithful users like us, into the future as we are sure to follow.
I am seeing the QuNexus on top of Solaris, X Touch Mini on top of the PX-3S, and the X Touch replacing the BCF 2000 on my music stand.
Keeping the old BCF 2000 as a spare, just in case Behringers German wasn't understood at the Chinese factory it was built at....

The Amazing Disappearing Midi Sockets. What could I say, even the Livid DS1 only has a USB port. The venerable Behringer BC series is still very relevant to Scope users who don't really need USB at all. The new Behringer controllers that were announced at NAMM 2014 like the Motor49/61 and the X-Touch series which do have MIDI (as well as USB) are beginning to look like vaporware to me at this point. I pre-ordered this stuff last year and still can't get any straight answer except "keep checking out our Facebutt or Twerper pages". My 15 year old SAC 2K has "Pulsar" and "Sonar" modes which still work great and can be tweaked so maybe I'll forget this whiz-bang stuff (although the Motor series looks nice with a keyboard and all but I need to feel those keys before I would keep it).

Managed to squeeze it into a Casio keyboard. Don't laugh. I was in high school and had no money!

I used to think I needed a ton of faders and buttons and dials 'n' such. My PCR-300 has a ton of such things, for the most part untouched and gathering dust.

I bought the Presonus Faderport when I got Studio One, which helped me realise that I only have two hands, and most often only one of those is used to tweak hardware controls. Best controller I've ever bought for sure, it gets properly used.

Yeah, when you're using software, it doesn't make much sense to have too many knobs.

But when I play a synth like the VL7, I like the fact that it has breath control, 3 wheels, 2 faders, and even two expression pedal inputs.

So where are the plain old MIDI ports for SCOPE like on the BC's? X-Touch is vaporware, so far. Waiting since NAMM 2014. Even Behringer don't know. Maybe dey didn't build dat.

I have an old Evolution UC-33e that maps everything exactly to the ProOne right out of the box. Everything is mapped exactly where it is on the screen. Oh, and that's thru MIDI and a wall wart, I don't use the USB.

Hmm, I prefer real MIDI over using USB. But these days USB MIDI seems to be pretty reliable from what I've heard.

Don't count on that live. Just like MIDI, shit gets clogged up, stuck notes, etc. Not always but when it does you must have a Panic button.
I bought hardware to avoid that, just to find out it was always the USB.
A stuck note in USB will not respond to ALL NOTES OFF unless it's a powered Hub.
Something to do with packets of information that do not flow very well.
Like when you move a few faders at once that can make USB freak out.

Thank God for the Physis K4. It has a Panic Button that even spits something through the USB Ports.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't play live, but I am using a real MIDI out from my M3 straight into Scope.
