I have recently got a 'cush' gig that starts on New Years Eve.
I haven't done a gig like this for years and need lots of automation,
and an expensive A/B 48 Channel Analog Switcher for redundancy.
But I will be playing less and become more of an APE as they are called here.
(Audio Playback Engineer)
This requires lots of ways to achieve a fast workflow as well as fast
troubleshooting in case of a need to manually override any corrections
necessary in realtime.
This is why Screenshots are so important.
The problem is that most 3rd party developers seem to be unable to
program in SDK the ability to save and recall devices using screenshots.
This has caused me to re program entire FX Chains using stock plug ins
that are pretty damn good anyways.
But devices like FATs, Sat, Tube Filter, DAS Bias, and even these great new
PreAmps by HPM Digital.
Below is a Screenshot of a channel where an FX Chain can be recalled and
tweaked in realtime if need be.
Sure would be nice to have 3rd Party guys add this Sceenshot capability
to all new devices. But as I said having the stock plug ins to do this is
a huge timesaver and I am sure will come in handy.

Re: Screenshots
screenshot recall is very simple to implement, it's just a setting to be done inside the module parameters list.
It's often possible to change this setting on protected devices too.
If you have scope sdk, open the device, right click on it inside the project window, choose "open ModuleParameterList", then on the list, there are 2 columns, one is "RS", the other one is "SS".
Scroll down the list of parameters and find something like "surface PosX", "surface PosY", "surface Show" and so on, and be sure that both the RS and SS columns are checked.
Once done, right click on the device inside the project windows and save it.
For reference, you could open a working device and copy the RS and SS values.

Re: Screenshots
Lads, for clarity, we're talking about "Screensets" here?
Not because it is easy, but because it is hard...
Re: Screenshots
it's a screenshot about screensets.
Re: Screenshots
I will throw me in on this! not that i am doing any gigs! but i love to be able to bring up various mixer screen for different purpose (one screen for sub-mixes, one for daw stems, etc).
i would love the screenset feature to work on all 3rd party plugins.. which they are not.
