Scope Noob needs a little basic Info

Post by riddlar »

Hello Scope Community.

Finally after 10 years i purchased a Pulsar 2 with SRB card.

It came with software v3.01 / 3.1 and it works well on an old P3 with Asus TUSL2.C Board and a p3 866 on Windows ME.
But... i really wanna get rid of that old 98/ME OS and machines.

My Question is.
To Which Scope Software / Driver Version can i upgrade without further costs?

Which version would that be, and will it run on XP? Or even Vista/7?

The complexity of that whole Scope thing is simply crazy at the start.

Can someone give me a quick roundup what Versions (first without further costs) i can upgrade to,
if i like the system, which further Scope upgrades (Cards/Software) would make sense? how much costs involved?
What extensions are possible to a pulsar 2 / srb combination? Can i... for instance... just add another pulsar 2 and get 6dsps of power and more inputs/outputs extra?

If i would upgrade to 4.0 or even 5.1 ... is that upgrade for ALL cards in a system or do i have to purchase
an upgrade for every single card? (which would be quite crazy)

Many thanx in Advance... hope someone can write a few lines to spare me hours of forum search.

Greetings

you would need to ask sonic core for the version4/4.5 keys

yes it works on xp 32bit but if your going to use 64bit then you have to have version 5.1

you can add an extra card any of the pci cards will give you extra i/o and dsp

you just missed a cracking deal from sonic core as they did the modIV version 5.1 scope and the protone and the prodessy

if you contact support and sales at sonic core you might still be able to get the deal as you would have a fully upgraded machine

You only need one software for a multicard setup. Value wise, 5.1 is steal even when its not part of a deal. It's unreal.
