Scope 6 OSX

Any idea if Scope 6 is being coded for OS X?

Cheers,

no not at first. there aren't enough people to do this.

however!
v6 is made of elements like JUCE that are cross platform, so once v6 is complete, it will only take a few tweeks and a driver to make an OSX version. this means that the possibility of an OSX version goes from being a fond wish to a probability. currently, it takes more than 2 1/2 YEARS to make a new Scope version. v6 will also be open source, so anyone with basic coding skills could do the job in a few months.

this is the plan anyway...

I hear often enough that Windows runs better on a MAC under bootcamp than it does on a PC anyway.

Even from a point of view of starting from scratch there's no reason not to buy a Mac and XITE / Scope 5.1

Macs with Thunderbolt will still need a TB-to-PCIe interface box to be able to plug in the Xite.

But I'm biased towards Mac hardware -especially anything released in the past few years

I think that S|C would need to make a Thunderbolt Aware driver available to do this? I have a Mac mini and would love to Bootcamp with a Thunderbolt to Express Card adapter..may experiment when I get some free time.
