Depending on the weight, it is:

€ 28 up to 1 kilograms
€ 49 between 1 and 2 kilograms

€ 20 needs to be added for insurance (value of € 1.000)

You do. At least in Portugal you pay taxes for the freight and over the declared value, according to the type of good.
