Serial number(s)

Post by emotive »

I am wanting to know if a serial number be found on a card without it having to be physically installed?

One card I have has the synth & sampler pack, but another card of which I am waiting to obtain I do not know.

Probably means nothing anyway since I will surely get v5 (xp won't last long) and I really need Cubase and it (steinberg) have a habit of improving things that breaks functionality and I only bought in because it seems Sonic Core are supporting Windows 7 (don't know about 8).

Any help is appreciated.

If you have several card in the same computer, you need just one serial number corresponding to one of your card and your synth & sampler pack will work. To have several card increase your dsp number. If the card is not in the computer, the serial won't work.

Yes Gary, there should be a sticker. But sometimes it just gets lost.
Maybe the most sensible part of the PCI Scope cards are the stickers ... Which means quite reliable electronics :D

if the sticker is lost, then it will take the Scope software to read the serial number.

Hi and thank you all for your replies.

Is there any particular format for these numbers?
