This is pretty cool!! Finally installed my pci cards again :)
36 DSPs for 8 stereo aux sends should be enough ;)

Also for guys with less DSP SpaceF's Routers into a MiniMix from BBII where each stereo in (x4) has it's own effect is a nice summing solution.
Ch1 Dry
Ch2 STW Plate
Ch3 SSB Modulator
Ch4 BBII AUX Delay

Great little live mixing rig, fully automated.

MB7 is the ultimate summing module though.

I just love the MB7.. but i should have been 5 channels in + 2 or 3 aux. since i have bus 1-8 + Mix (5 stereo, not 4).. so i am using Mix7 instead.
:( But modular mixers is great!

I also found myself inneed for 5 channels in with AUX sends.

Today I dumped the MB7 in favor of 2 G6-2 devices. Loading the project as we speak I get DSP errors... *sigh*.
It seems I am expecting way too much from Xite :( Seriously Annoying Transport Connection problems.

Knowing the DSP latency and connectivity were the keys for me pushing the Modular Mixer as far as I could go with it (there is a chart that is an expanded version of this:http://www.hitfoundry.com/issue_07/xitemast.htm , that I can't seem to find atm, but lists latency between each DSP as well..basically slot 10-18 is fastest to I/O, intra-slot is a couple of samples, while inter-slot can add a few extra cycles) . I learned some decent lessons from loading a standard STM24...it is spread out across the 1st DSP of each slot. So that's about 8 channels on each DSP 7-10. Using 16 channel Stems and such create difficult routing issues between DSPs. Moving to smaller mixes, and carefully placing them helped me get up to a larger format mixer, with plenty of aux, busses, and even gating/comp on all channels. Reducing the size of the mixers also leaves some space on the DSPs for eq and effects on each channel.

jk you're a superstar! :)

The information you provided is very helpful. I'm loading lots more now!!

Right now 4 mixers all with the builtin filters activated, plus about 50 insert effects. This is going places.

Whats also very nice about using the Router devices as AUX sends is that you can feed the return signals
back into the same router device and create the 'bleed over' aux routings we have on the MB7! :)
