hm...talking...there were several serious and very lengthy conflicts also, in the past and recently.
No need to disguise that, and no need to make it look worse.

I'm not that romantic, it was what it it was, and it is what it is.
also, 13 is not the most happy number, let's stay brave and see wha brings the future...
In the meantime you could visit...http://www.altontowers.com/thirteen/ ;-

Edit: made this post befor I noticed the bumping of that infamous topic...and added the former signature.

conflicts? like with DXL?
this place is friendly until someone says "we're not friends", right?
a disagreement is nothing to raise to the level of conflict.

I've not been here since the beginnings, and I've been often away in recent times; though this place and people here have been a great resource, not just as for Scope related issues; down my way for more open minded thoughts it's between my reference places for ideas confrontation. Just.... my English still isn't good enough to quickly undestand and being understood.

Thanks guys!
Cool drawing, Nestor.
A bright light in an otherwise gloomy week- I'm barely conscious with that nasty flu that's going around.
Not sure I'm gonna make it to NAMM :(

Lemon and garlic may be the answer for you John. It may sound too simplistic, but it really works

The acid lemon has makes the acid of garlic bearable in your stomach. Without lemon juice it could cause you strong stomachache.

It’s very simple to do:

Get 6 lemons and extract all their juice.
Mix it with at least four big spoons of honey.
Add four glasses of water, slightly warm.
Add a head of garlic and mix it with a blender.

Drink slowly and avoid eating carbohydrates so your breath does not smell like hell. If you do have some smell nevertheless, get parsley and apple, mix them well and eat some by the end, bad breath goes away.

Garlic is been studied today in an exclusive laboratory in England and quite a lot of money is being spend there as they have concluded that garlic is the best and most effective remedy you can use against all sorts of flu.

Best wishes for you! :)

garlic works well, but it's best just at the point you think you might get sick, than it is after...

I have been taking garlic for years in the way I have explained above, with amazing results not only to stop bad flu effects, but also for vitality and definitely, to radically reduce the levels of bad cholesterol in your blood.

I once read a report about its benefits and if I don’t remember wrongly, they were talking about 90 something properties that would help your body go on. It is good for your blood, for your heart, for your stomach, for your muscles, for your eyes, for your brain, for your lungs, etc., etc., amazing.

The only problem it has is its smell. But bad breath can be controlled through two means:

1 – Don’t take carbohydrates the day you decide to intake it as a medicine

2 – Eat some aple and parsley smashed together, and you will be able to smile without getting in trouble :P

Another way to kill flue through garlic is putting a couple of heads slightly smashed into a littler of high grade vodka for 30 days, you have to drink one little cup of it every day, but it is too strong… I found it really hard to drink and then it would burn for a while into your stomach.

My wife is Chinese and loves to eat raw garlic with noodles.
The only way to deal with the unbearable stink is to join her :)

Turns out my virus had turned into a secondary sinus infection. Got antibiotics and am now much happier. Bummed that I had to cancel my NAMM trip. Bad timing. :(

I hope you feel better JC.
FWIW, I totally agree with you on the garlic.
I worked in an all girl Korean band for a few years, and my first gig ( after 3 weeks of slave driving and choreography ) was in Seoul where they are worshipped, and the KAL Airline was 13 hours of smelling Garlic, so I pleaded to the Stewardess to bring me as much Garlic tainted food as possible, and she even kicked in some cloves she carried on the Plane for me.
It is definately overbearing at first but once you get used to it, you need more and more over time until you start eating Hot Garlic KimChee by the bottle.....

Hope you'll get better soon, John.
I had something similar in November; I'd been in the need to go out around the same, and the sinus expanded in a bronchial infection with high fever, though it passed just after almost three days of antibiotics (and bed).

We do the same around here with my wife, when one of us gets into raw garlic, the other follows it

Sorry you cannot go to the NAMM this year John, it will make next one even better so.

Hey, I forgot to tell, another really great thing to get used to, - no bad smell involved - is ginger! Ginger is one of the wonders of nature also, pretty much like garlic. Very much recommended. I didn’t know about its properties until recently, other than culinary recipes and the so.

Ginger is an excellent expectorant when you have a lot of mucus, it is totally natural, and even if it is hot, it hot in a way that does not irritate your stomach, all on the contrary, it is one of the best digestive drinks you can take, as a brew or infusion.

Very simple recipe for health:
Get about a pound of ginger, grate it with a grater, boil for 15 minutes, add a good amount of honey to taste, and then drink it as much as you like. It has a pretty nice flavor, sort of a mix between lemon and a little hot. Highly recommended!
