Old member new problem

Post by risan »

My DAW setup has been out of commission for quite some time. I am finally getting everything up and running again with a new box. I need to get my cards running on windows 7 64bit and ready to move from Scope 4.0 to 5.1. My question is who can I reach out at Soniccore to get access to the shop again and get my keys updated? I also need to move some of my plugin registration from a 6 DSP card to a 15 dsp card. I remeber Ralph used to be the go to guy at creamware. But I am been out of the loop so I am not sure now. Can you guys help me out? Thank in advance!

you don't need your old account for the shop. just make a new account.

moving keys from one card to the other is a BIG pain if it's done properly. it's also really dangerous for the card that is losing keys. usually, if keys are transferred, both cards end up with the keys. that is at S|C's discretion. the fee is 98euro.

just write to support to arrange the transfer. v5.1 has most available keys included already. only a few S|C plugins and third party plugins won't be included.

by the way, the keys are registered to cards, NOT the owners of the cards. once a key is assigned to a card, it's very difficult to remove it. removing a key from a card means destroying all the data on the rom chip on the card, rewriting that data and then making new keys. the PCI cards are older now and many will not survive the process...

Thanks Gary! It is good to see there are still some familar faces around here. Seems my best option right now would be to use my cards as is. It would break my heart to have any corruptions that would lead to the distructions of my investments. I have my new DAW stood up as of last night so I just need to get the 5.1 sofware installed and my new keys setup. I will go ahead and create a new store account now.

SonicCore's fairness is incredibly wide and, I can tell you for sure (transfer from Luna to pulsar, then to pro, then to xite), is breaking the whole commercial/b...s average way of doing things, big time!
Get in touch with them.
Gary is now and more than ever of a strong help, if needed

So I have paid for the upgrade to 5.1 but the shop is taking a long time to give me my keys. I made my payment on Wednesday. They say it is only a 12 hour period for a turnaround. I contacted the shop and Gary told me if I did not hear anything I should reach out to him and he would try to help. But I have not heard anything. Have request from the shop been taking a while for others as well?

I wouldn't worry - I understand the frustration though :)

it will come.
i'm going to get them to take the "12 hours" down. they usually do get it done in that time, but if anything goes wrong, people are upset. the problem is that all keyfiles must be made manually and there's one person to do so. he also has other duties. a week ago he was out sick for several days....

Risan (as a new member) can't help, and no scraping, but the flowers are for Garyb who always knows to explain the situation of 'the small company' (as is S/C ) as if it were for the first time.
Respect :-)
Never thought of a linkable database on planetz of the 20 Most Asked Questions (MAQ)? :D

Well just like Garyb said I got my key file the following week so I am very happy about that. I had to work with John Bowen to get some of my zarg keys updated as well. But now I am having problems with the sonic responding to a new request. A few years agoi purchased the prodyssey and had that device registered to my 2nd board which is an power pulsar card. The majority of my other devices are on my original pulsar 2 card. When I got scope 5.1 registered it was to my pulsar 2 card. But now I am getting an unregistered device prompt. I contacted Gary at the shop about this two weeks ago but I never got a response. So I decided to email registration and support and see which of the two departments could help. And again I did not receive a response. Is the shop closed for the holidays? Good thing is I still have all of my emails with the original owner and support when I paid for the device transfer. But it will not help me if sonic core ignores my request.

:-?

all those emails are the same one, they are me. if i see an email like that, i have to forward it to have keys made. i have no idea what is going on, but you'd get a lot futher by just pm'ing me...even from the description here, i'm not exactly sure what the issue is, other than you are missing a key.

Get yourself a brain and ask for a transfer (and potentially pay the price for it!!!)
By that I mean, every key is attached to some hardware device!
What did you think?
Send them the complete scope of your licences, hardware and software keys attached, at once!
Then, you'll understand why they are only trying to give you the best and provide you with the best!

Help them a little in being more than just a basic consumer, I can assure you it is worth your part of the job...
